Dear Doreen, my greatest memories over the years include your wonderful Sunday roasts at Lovelocks, playing Newmarket together with Jamie & Kathryn on Christmas day, and us all helping out with Ride for Life every summer. Hopefully, you and Bill are relaxing together again now with all the hard work behind you. Thinking of you xxx

I remember so sweetly, so distinctly the delight in Cleo’s eyes as you played round-and-round the garden with her. You were the first to do so. It surprised us, how she understood immediately. I wonder between how many hands that game passed to arrive in hers, from yours. Between how many great grandmothers and great granddaughters, how many women in this family. I picture you receiving it from your mother, or grandmother, or great grandmother. When Cleo passed it to her little sister, you were there. And when they both grow, and pass it on to other little hands, you’ll be there too.
